What is RondoMap

A free, bilingual (English and Spanish) library of football training exercises for coaches, with a focus on grassroots and youth football.

Every exercise comes with a clear diagram, the set-up, how it works, coaching points and ways to make it easier or harder. You can filter them by age group, number of players, objective and the equipment you actually have, and the session planner turns them into a full session you can print and take to the pitch.

Why the name

A rondo is the exercise every coach knows: a group of players keeps the ball in a small space while others try to win it back. The word is the same in English and Spanish, and it sums up what the site is about: exercises ready to use at the pitch, not theory to read at home. "Map" because the site is meant to help you find your way: every exercise comes with a pitch diagram, and the categories, ages and objectives guide you to the right one for your next session.

Who is behind it

I'm Marco Baleato. I built this website with the help of Claude Code, the AI coding assistant.

Professionally I work as an AI Engineer and Data Scientist. On the pitch, I hold the UEFA C coaching licence and the RFEF football coordinator qualification.

I am currently coordinator and U13–U14 coach at SD Dubra. The exercises you will find here are the kind of practices I use and adapt with my own teams.

How the exercises are organised

Every exercise is classified by category, age group, number of players, duration, difficulty, training type and objective, and has a diagram drawn with the same symbols as all the others.

Each exercise explains the organisation, how it works, the coaching points, and how to make it easier (regressions) or harder (progressions).

Adapt, don't copy

No exercise works the same way with every group. Use the suggested sizes and numbers as a starting point and adjust them to your players.
