Young children learn the inside-of-the-foot pass faster when there is a clear target and an immediate result. Each team has its own bowling lane; players take turns, set the pins back up and count how many they knocked down.
Objective
Pass accurately along the ground with the inside of the foot.
Organisation
- Lanes of 10 m, one per 3–4 players. Six cones in a triangle at the end of each lane.
- One ball per player.
How it works
- Players take turns passing from the start line.
- Count the pins knocked down; the passer sets them up again.
- Move the start line back after every round.
Coaching points
- Standing foot next to the ball, pointing at the pins.
- Pass with the inside of the foot, ankle locked.
- Follow through towards the target.
Progressions
- Use only the weaker foot.
- Pass from a moving ball (after one touch).
Regressions
- Shorter lane and wider triangle.
Variations
- Team competition: total pins in two minutes.
Key principles
- Aim, pass, follow through.
